3월 2일자 구글 LatLong 블로그 소식입니다. 구글어스(Google Earth)에 새로운 고해상도 항공사진 및 위성영상이 추가되었다는 내용입니다.
제가 이 블로그를 운영하기 시작한지로부터 지금까지, 2007/12/20, 2008/02/21, 2008/04/07, 2008/05/15, 2008/07/18, 2008/09/10, 2008/10/16, 2008/12/26등의 영상추가가 있었습니다. 대략 2개월만에 한번씩 업데이트하는 셈이네요.
저는 이 소식을 엊그제 Google Earth Blog를 통해 미리 접해서, 우리나라에도 일부 위성영상이 추가되었다는 것을 알고 있습니다만, 어차피 내일 모래 리스트가 공개될 예정이므로, 저도 여러분께 직접 찾아보시라고 권해드리고 싶습니다.
구글어스에서 어떠한 영상이 추가되었는지 확인하는 방법은, 일단 구글어스를 켜시고 이리저리 둘러보시다가 의심나는 지역이 있으면, 툴바에 맨오른 쪽에 있는 'Google 맵에서 보기'를 클릭하시고 비교해 보시면 됩니다.
구글어스(Google Earth)에 영상이 추가된 후, 며칠이 지나야 구글맵(Google Maps)에 반영이 된다는 사실을 이용하는 것입니다.
참고로, 이번에 업데이트된 지역은 수도권/울산/제주도 등이 있습니다. 직접 확인해 보세요.

제가 영상퀴즈를 낸지 꽤 오래 지났습니다만, 오늘 새로운 퀴즈를 내드리게 되었습니다. 미국 및 전세계를 대상으로 구글어스(Google Earth)에 고해상도 항공사진과 위성영상이 추가되었습니다. 직접 확인하는 재미를 망치지 않도록 약간의 힌트만 알려드립니다. 며칠내로 해답과 갱신지역 리스트를 올리도록 하겠습니다.
1) This busy city is home to the world's largest shopping mall.
2) A Viking Runestone was found in this 'Springtime Place' back in 1824.
3) This 'capitol of happiness' was once a colonial capitol.
4)Parlez vous Francais? If so, you would be at home in this city, whichis the second largest French speaking city in the world.
5) Though not quite complete, we've significantly improved our imagery coverage of this enormous river.
6) The gateway to the highlands is now visible.
7) Abandoned by settlers in 1541, this city is now the 2nd largest on it's continent.
8) This city was twice the capitol of Persia, and recently hosted the International Physics Olympiad.
9) Despite chilly temperatures, this city is sometimes called the Riviera of the North.
10) We've upgraded imagery of pristine mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and plains in this State.
